Saeng Chan Beach lies on the Rayong city shoreline, about 6 km from the town centre. T-shaped rock breakwaters built to slow erosion leave a line of crescent-shaped pools along the shore, which inspired the name, meaning “moonlight”. Seafood restaurants line the landward side of the beach road, and the area grew out of an old fishing village.
