Ao Khai is a small bay just east of the Laem Mae Phim headland in Rayong’s Klaeng district, with a white sand beach of roughly 500 m. Several resorts back the sand, and the bay has a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Local boats leave for the Ko Man islands from the nearby fishing moorings at Laem Tan, and neighbouring Ao Makham Pom reveals tidal flats and oyster farms at low tide.
