Phala Beach is the westernmost of the three beaches in Ban Chang district, close to U-Tapao airport, with Phayun Beach further east. The strip of roughly 500 metres has cream-coloured sand and greenish water, backed by a shady line of pines and a public road. One section fronts the village, while the other has seafood restaurants, lodging and water-play rentals; it is popular with local residents.
