Dewars Beach
Dewars Beach lies on the Mentmore coast in the Mackay region, opening onto the Coral Sea as a long sandy shore of roughly 2.1 kilometres. It forms part of a sparsely settled coastal landscape with a distinctly natural character. Historical records of flatback turtle nesting add ecological interest, so visits are best approached with care for the shoreline and its wildlife.
