About this beach
Thong Nai Pan Yai is the southern of the twin Thong Nai Pan bays on Koh Phangan’s quiet north-east coast. Its crescent of about 800 metres of pale sand flecked with shell is lined with trees that shade the shore from midday. The sandy bottom slopes gently, with a few large boulders out in the bay. Resorts, bars and restaurants back the beach, and the sea can turn rough during the November monsoon.
