Chaloklum Beach curves around a wide bay on Koh Phangan’s northern tip, framed by hills, with a traditional fishing village at its centre and fishing boats anchored offshore. The village seafront has restaurants, dive schools and small shops, while the quieter western end has a narrow strip of sand under palm trees. Waves can pick up in December, so check local conditions.
