Haad Chao Phao is a quiet sandy beach of about 500 m on Koh Phangan’s west coast, lined with palms and a string of bungalow resorts, beach bars and restaurants. Facing west, it is known for its sunsets, and a reef lies roughly 100 m offshore for snorkelling. The freshwater Laem Son lake is a short walk inland to the south-east.
