Haad Nam Tok, whose name means Waterfall Beach, is a small sandy cove on Koh Phangan’s remote east coast, a few hundred metres below Than Praphat Waterfall, a cascade named by King Chulalongkorn. It is well off the beaten track: a little-used jungle path of about an hour and a half links it with Than Sadet to the north. Waves can build during the monsoon.
