Torquay Surf Beach
- Surf spot
Torquay Surf Beach, also known as Torquay Back Beach, is the open Bass Strait-facing surf beach beside the Great Ocean Road town of Torquay. Its sandy shoreline is used for surfing and swimming and forms part of one of Victoria's best-known surf landscapes. Conditions can be energetic and changeable, so less experienced visitors should be especially cautious with waves and currents. Seasonal patrols operate, but the safest choice is to use the marked swimming area when it is supervised.
