Bancoora Beach
- Surf spot
Bancoora Beach is a sandy surf beach on the Breamlea coast, west of Melbourne and near the Bellarine Peninsula. Its natural setting includes spinifex-covered dunes, Moonah and tea-tree woodland, intertidal areas and coastal saltmarsh. The shoreline is dynamic, with shifting sand, erosion, inundation and storms able to change coastal conditions, so visitors should pay attention to local signs and the day’s conditions. Parking is available at the Bancoora Surf Lifesaving Club car park, and Hooded Plover breeding areas require space and leashed dogs.
