Point Impossible Beach

Point Impossible Beach is a broad sandy surf beach about five kilometres northeast of Torquay. Backed by grassy and shrub-covered dunes, the coast is used for surfing, birdwatching, walking and watching the waves. Visitor facilities include a car park, beach access paths, information signage and toilets. The section extending southwest is a legally designated clothing-optional bathing area, so visitors should be aware of the beach’s distinctive local character and the restrictions on entering the dunes. Surf conditions can vary, and anyone planning to enter the water should assess the waves and shoreline conditions beforehand.
