Number Sixteen Beach

Number Sixteen Beach is an open-ocean sandy beach near Rye in Mornington Peninsula National Park. Access is via an unsealed road and car park off Tasman Drive, followed by a narrow sandy loop track and steep stairs to the shore. Rocky edges, rock pools and Dragon Head Rock attract photographers, walkers and anglers, while surfing is possible; strong currents, rips, reefs and large waves mean swimming requires great care and the beach is unpatrolled.
