Nobbys Beach

Nobbys Beach is one of Newcastle’s best-known sandy beaches, set beneath Nobbys Headland and its historic lighthouse. It is popular with families and people learning to surf, and forms the northern end of the Bathers Way coastal walk. The foreshore provides parking, public toilets, showers, picnic areas, a kiosk and barbecue facilities. Some sections are suitable for learning, but surf conditions can change, so visitors should follow beach signs and swim in marked areas.
