Newcastle Beach

Newcastle Beach is a broad sandy ocean beach at the eastern end of Newcastle, close to the city centre and beside the historic Newcastle Ocean Baths. Public facilities include parking, toilets, showers, picnic areas, shade shelters and a kiosk, with cafes and restaurants nearby. Its reliable waves and boardrider culture make it an established surf spot and a venue for major surfing events. Conditions can change, including waves and rip currents, so visitors should follow beach signs and patrol guidance before entering the water.
