Budgewoi Beach

Budgewoi Beach is a broad, sandy ocean beach on the Central Coast of New South Wales, reached from Ocean Street in Budgewoi. Its northern section has a designated off-leash dog area extending to about 500 metres north of the Lakes Beach Surf Club, making it especially useful for walks and dog exercise. Surf breaks occur along the beach, but the beach is not regularly lifeguard-patrolled, so visitors should judge conditions carefully before entering the water. The open shoreline looks south toward Norah Head Lighthouse and northeast toward Bird Island, giving the beach a distinctly coastal, windswept character.
