Burwood North Beach
- Surf spot
Burwood North Beach lies within Glenrock State Conservation Area near Newcastle and forms the northern end of a broader sandy Burwood shoreline. Walkers can reach the coast around the headland from Merewether or by tracks through the conservation area, giving the beach a more isolated character than Newcastle’s urban beaches. Swimming, fishing and surfing are possible, but the beach is unpatrolled and rips or powerful surf may occur. Coastal walking, forest scenery and the protected setting are central to the experience.
