Chelsea Beach is a long sandy Port Phillip Bay beach, around 250 metres from Chelsea railway station. Low dunes, beach huts, the historic pier and the nearby Chelsea Longbeach Surf Life Saving Club give the foreshore a distinctive bayside character. Accessible ticketed parking is available on Camp Street, with beach showers and toilets, picnic tables, BBQs and a children’s playground at Victory Park. Its public transport access and facilities make it a practical choice for a family beach visit.
