Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach is one of Melbourne’s iconic sandy Port Phillip Bay beaches. It forms part of the shoreline shared with Dendy Street and Middle Brighton, best known for its colourful bathing boxes, city skyline views and the walking and cycling route along the foreshore. Nearby reserves provide barbecue and play facilities, while visitor parking and public toilets are available at foreshore access points. The bay is generally more sheltered than Victoria’s open-ocean surf beaches, but swimmers and other water users should still consider wind, currents and boat activity on the day.
