Thung Yang Beach is a short, east-facing stretch of shore on the quiet Pathio coast north of Chumphon town, at the foot of the hill Khao Thung Yang. A bar-restaurant with parking sits at the southern end, where a trail with earth steps, rocky sections and ropes in places climbs the hill in about 30–40 minutes to a wide sea view. Waves can be strong, especially in the monsoon.
