Thongson is a small bay on Koh Samui’s north-eastern cape, north of Choeng Mon and Tongsai Bay and south-east of Samrong Bay. Its central stretch of soft, fine greyish sand faces north-north-east, with rocky sections at both ends, and is backed by a large resort, a bungalow resort and a few villas reached along narrow lanes. It is a quiet spot; check sea conditions during the north-east monsoon.
