About this beach

Praphat Beach is a long, wide sandy shore on the mainland coast of Laem Son National Park, behind Kamphuan village, with a park ranger station by the sea. Natural casuarinas give shade, and the beach grows even wider at low tide. Nearby mangroves make the water less clear, but the offshore islands offer a broad view. The coast is fully exposed to the southwest monsoon, when waves can build.
