About this beach
Laem Yai is a secluded beach on the northwest tip of Koh Samui, shaded by coconut palms and with just two resorts on its shore. The sea is very shallow and at low tide retreats far out, exposing a stony, muddy seabed and small sandbars. The islands of Ang Thong Marine National Park line the horizon, and sunsets over the water are a highlight.
