Ko Khang Khao is a small forested island in Laem Son National Park, 30 to 40 minutes by boat from Bang Ben Beach. Fine white sand lines its eastern shore, and the coral around the island can be seen both in shallow water and in deeper sections. True to its name, meaning bat island, it is home to thousands of flying foxes. In the southwest monsoon the sea can be rough, so boat trips depend on conditions.
