About this beach
Hua Hin Beach is the long town beach of a resort Thais have visited since the reign of King Rama V. Pale sand runs from the rocky northern end, where a replica of the old statue of a man fighting a shark stands by the Chao Mae Thapthim shrine, south towards Khao Takiab. Horse rides are a classic sight. High tide narrows the sand considerably, and jellyfish may appear in the rainy season.
