About this beach
Choeng Mon is a crescent of fine sand in a small bay at Koh Samui’s north-east corner, lined with resorts, beach restaurants and massage spots. The islets Ko Fan Noi and Ko Fan Yai lie off the eastern end; at low tide one of them can be reached on foot, though Ko Fan Yai is largely taken up by a private resort. There is some coral near the western end and around the islets, and an east wind makes the water choppy.
