About this beach

Ban Chuen Beach, formerly known as Hat Maro, is a long, straight strand on the narrow mainland strip of Khlong Yai district in Trat, north-west of Khlong Yai town. Its fine, powdery sand is backed by casuarina trees and a handful of bungalow stays, and the water is often clear. The shore faces southwest onto the Gulf of Thailand, so waves can build during the monsoon.
