Ao Tan Khu is a small crescent-shaped bay between rocky headlands on the mainland coast of Laem Ngop district, a few kilometres northwest of the Ao Thammachat ferry pier to Koh Chang. It is known for its fine reddish sand and clear water. Restaurants and places to stay sit behind the beach, and it is a popular holiday spot for people from Trat.
