About this beach

Ao Yai, also known as Long Beach, is the largest bay on Koh Phayam’s west coast: a sweep of sand about 3 km long facing the Andaman Sea, backed by simple bungalows, cafés and restaurants. There are no cars on the island, so most visitors arrive by motorbike from the pier. In the monsoon season the sea can be rough, debris washes ashore and many restaurants close.
