About this beach

Ao Talo Udang is a remote bay on the south side of Koh Tarutao, the part of the island closest to Langkawi in Malaysia, with a sandy shore and streams running into the sea. From late 1939 political prisoners were held here, and a national park ranger station now stands on the site. The bay is usually reached by boat and the national park entrance fee applies.
