Ao Phrao is a long, curving beach of about 900 metres at the southern end of Koh Kood’s west coast, with fine white sand lined by coconut palms. The shore slopes gently, and the rocks at either side of the bay are home to fish and giant clams. A small fishing village, a temple and a mangrove-fringed estuary lie close by.
