Ao Kratueng is a south-facing sandy beach on the southwest coast of Koh Mak, running west from the Makathanee pier towards the island’s western tip. Small bungalow resorts and restaurants back its eastern half, close to the pier used by speedboats from the mainland. The privately owned Koh Rayang islets lie just offshore to the south, and longtail boats to them leave from Makathanee pier.
