Ao Phang Ka is a quiet bay on Koh Mook’s south-east coast with a muddy shoreline fringed by mangroves. At low tide hundreds of tiny crabs dart across the exposed mud and into their burrows, so it suits a nature walk more than a classic beach day. It lies south of the island’s main village.
