Gili Trawangan Beach is a sandy shore along the island's east coast, relatively sheltered from wind and rough seas and running north from the boat landing. Turtles are regularly seen in the shallows on the northeast stretch, which makes it popular for snorkelling. Jellyfish are occasionally present. There are no motor vehicles on the island, so everything is reached on foot or by bicycle.
