Gili Layar is a small island west of Gili Gede, with a strip of white sand along its shore and turquoise water in front of a small bungalow stay. Coral gardens close to shore make it a snorkelling stop, with parrotfish and sea turtles reported. It is reached only by boat, roughly half an hour from the Sekotong coast.
