Steels Beach

Steels Beach is a sandy shore on Tasmania’s northeast coast between Scamander and Falmouth, beside the Scamander River mouth and coastal wetlands. Dunes, wetland habitat and access pathways give the beach a relatively wild character. The area is used by surfers and kayaking enthusiasts and is also promoted for long coastal walks. Conditions can vary near an open river mouth, so assess the sea and your exit point before swimming.
