Palm Beach

Palm Beach is a 2.3-kilometre east-facing sandy ocean beach curving between Barrenjoey Lighthouse and Little Head on Sydney’s northernmost coastline. Its open shore is popular for walking, swimming and body surfing, while the northern end is especially known for surfing. The Barrenjoey headland, lighthouse setting and broad ocean views give the beach a distinctive sense of place. A strong shore break can occur at times, so visitors should assess conditions before entering the water.
