Avalon Beach

Avalon Beach is an approximately 500-metre sandy ocean beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, facing south-east between sandstone cliffs, Bilgola Head and coastal rock platforms. The open shoreline is used for swimming, body surfing and surfing, while wave conditions can change and a strong shore break may occur at times. Visitors have access to parking, showers, public toilets, picnic space, a café and kiosk, with further food and shops in nearby Avalon village. Its combination of surf, village access and dramatic headlands gives the beach a well-established coastal character.
