Bilgola Beach

Bilgola Beach is a roughly 500-metre sandy surf beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, set between Bilgola Head and Newport Head. Its south-easterly outlook, high headlands, rocky edges and shifting sand bar give the shoreline a distinctive coastal character. At the southern end, a 50-metre ocean pool is paired with toilets, change rooms, parking and a nearby cafe, making the area convenient for a day visit. The beach has shifting rips, permanent currents beside the rocks and an occasional strong shore break, so swimmers should assess conditions carefully.
