Old Pier Beach
Old Pier Beach is a sandy foreshore beach at Bridport in north-east Tasmania, beside the remnants of the historic pier. Rounded granite rocks frame the low shoreline, which looks across the bay toward Bass Strait and forms part of Bridport’s public coastal walking and recreation area. A boat ramp, toilets and a drinking-water station serve the site, with parking nearby. The bay is often calm, but easterly winds and changing tides can affect swimming conditions.
