Five Mile Beach
Five Mile Beach is a long sandy Bass Strait beach in the remote northern wilderness of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Reaching it involves a demanding walking route rather than direct vehicle access, and the beach has only a basic hikers' campsite nearby. The campsite provides no toilets, showers or other visitor facilities. Its appeal is the isolation, protected coastal setting and wilderness walk, while wave and tide conditions should be assessed before swimming.
