3 Mile Beach

3 Mile Beach is a remote sandy shore in the northern wilderness of Wilsons Promontory in Victoria. The coastline opens to Southern Ocean swell, granite points and rocky headlands, with very little development around the beach. Reaching it is associated with the park’s longer northern wilderness routes and marked-route sections, so it is a destination for experienced, self-reliant visitors rather than a serviced day beach. Hikers should be well prepared and assess open-coast conditions before entering the water.
