Eagles Nest

Eagles Nest is a narrow platform beach on the Bunurong coast near Inverloch, lying beneath vegetated bluffs up to 40 metres high. Rock flats and reefs appear in front of the sandy shore at low tide, while the offshore sandstone formation gives the coastline its distinctive profile. A walking track and stairs lead down from the roadside car park, but the area is unpatrolled and strong currents, rough surf, slippery rocks and unstable cliffs require great care; swimming is only a high-tide possibility. The site is particularly rewarding for coastal walks, rock-pool exploration and photography.
