First Surf Beach

First Surf Beach is a roughly 500-metre south-east-facing sandy surf beach at Cape Paterson. Its broad shallow bar can create lower waves near the shore, while rocky platforms and reefs frame both ends of the beach. Sealed-road parking, toilets and accessible parking are available at the nearby beach car park. Rips near the eastern rocks, a low-tide shorebreak and slippery surfaces mean swimmers should assess conditions before entering.
