Bridgewater Bay Surf Beach

Bridgewater Bay Surf Beach is a wide sandy beach at Cape Bridgewater, set within a volcanic coastal landscape and reached by road from Portland in about 20 minutes. Partly sheltered by the cape, the bay supports swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating and coastal walks, with a broad foreshore that feels spacious and relatively remote. Visitor facilities include parking, showers, toilets, a boat ramp, picnic areas and Bridgewater Bay Cafe. It is also an established beach-break surf area, but wave size and shoreline conditions can vary, so water activities require appropriate judgement and experience.
