About this beach
Wong Amat Beach curves about a kilometre along the Naklua shore at the northern end of Pattaya Bay. Unlike Pattaya Beach, no beach road runs along it; hotels and high-rise condominiums line the sand, and the mood is quieter. The wooden Sanctuary of Truth is visible on the headland to the north. The beach and its first hotel, the Wong Amat Hotel (1960), are named after the hotel’s original owner, Boonwong Amatayakul.
