About this beach
Bang Saen is a long, palm-shaded sandy beach in Chonburi, about 108 km from Bangkok, and has drawn Thai day-trippers since the 1940s. A road runs along the shore past restaurants and places to stay, while deckchairs, rubber rings and banana boats can be hired on the sand. It gets very busy at weekends; the water is often murky but tends to clear from October to February.
