About this beach
Tawaen is the main and busiest beach on Koh Larn, on the island’s north-west side about 7 km off Pattaya. Around 700 m of white sand shelves gently into clear water, with shallow coral near both ends. Ferries from Pattaya dock at a pier linked to the beach by a walkway. Restaurants and shops line the shore, jet skis and banana boats are on offer, and weekends get very crowded.
