About this beach
Samae is a sandy beach of just over 500 m on the south-west side of Koh Larn, known for its sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand. Restaurants, shops, jet skis and banana boats line the shore, and a resort stands at its southern end. The beach is home to a manta-ray-shaped building that controls the island’s wind and solar power, while turbines on the hill above mark a viewpoint reached by steep, narrow trails.
