About this beach
Pattaya Beach is the city’s main beach, curving about three kilometres around the bay from North Pattaya to the start of Walking Street in the south. Shady Beach Road runs its full length, lined with hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. Jet skis, banana boats and parasailing operate offshore; the northern end is quieter. A project begun in 2018 aimed to widen the eroded beach with sand brought from offshore.
