Kho Khao Beach sits at the northern tip of Khanom Bay beneath Khao Kho Khao hill, where the long Khanom shore ends. White sand shelves gently into fairly shallow water, drink shops and food stalls serve visitors, and the beach suits a family picnic. A shrine dedicated to Krom Luang Chumphon stands here, while part of the beach is taken up by a private deep-water pier.
